Through Crown Financial Ministries, I expected to simply purchase resources, but Dan had other plans. I quickly discovered he wasn't a customer service rep or salesman — he was a missionary who had devoted his life to serving leaders like me. He wasn't there to make sales — he was there to make disciples. I was blown away when Dan offered to drive an hour and a half each week at his expense, to personally guide our leadership team's small group, modeling what true biblical teaching and discipleship look like. Over the years, through hundreds of phone calls, meetings, and group sessions we shared, he continually poured into my life and into the lives of those around me. Years later, when I became a Financial Ministry leader at another church, Dan once again invested his time, insight, wisdom, and encouragement — meeting weekly with me and our volunteers to help us grow into Godly leaders. Dan will never settle for lukewarm faith. Like the apostle Paul, he is relentless in his desire to reach as many people as possible with the truth of God's Word, for as long as he has breath in his lungs. Though younger than me, Dan mentored me with love, patience, and wisdom. The fruit of that investment remains to this day. My prayer is that God grants him many more years to plant seeds that will grow into mighty spiritual trees. I am deeply thankful our paths crossed, and I pray that many others will experience the passionate faith and teaching that have so profoundly impacted my life.

His roots as a farm boy from Ohio only make him more well-rounded. He brings both grit and graciousness into every situation — reminding me of Paul Harvey's classic description of a farmer: one who can fix with artistry and explain with wisdom. Over the years, I've seen Dan faithfully handle both complex ministry challenges and the everyday work of raising seven sons alongside his wife — always with the same thoughtful diligence and care. I gained an even greater appreciation and respect — not just for him, but for his entire family — when they showed up at our home to help clean up after a hurricane. Their care went beyond words — it was boots on the ground, sleeves rolled up, and hearts ready to serve.
